Mango

Saturday we headed up to pick up our new member of our family. We have been looking for months to find the perfect dog. Marc and I had agreed on a cockapoo they do not shed much and are known to be good with children. My mother has a friend who has a great cockapoo. When she looked into it the breeders had exactly what we were looking for. My very nice parents drove myself and the girls 2 hours away to the country for this little guy and it was totally worth it. They even gave it to Chenoa for her birthday. Now Chenoa is so excited she was able to tell her friends she got a dog for her birthday.
After much talk and what seemed to be torture to Chenoa we finally decided on a name, Mango.
I didn't have a decent picture of my parents and Keiko who rode in front. It was just to bright. Sorry you guys! But they were there and made it all happen. Thank You so much
Kylee missed her nap so when we stopped at Denny's. She thought the top of the booth looked like a perfect place to lay down... she is a little silly sometimes!

The proud parents. The mother on the left was so sweet. She came right up to me to say hello. She was very gentle and kind.

All the puppies seemed very nice and well socialized. What cuties!

These puppies were so playful and adorable.

Kylee was so excited to be able to hold one of the puppies.

We Heart Mango!!!

Chenoa was able to hold our little Mango on the way home.

We were excited to drive home with our new little puppy.

Kylee and the never ending saga of the Paci!

Well after 2 days of Kylee not being able to sleep. I finally gave in and brought the pacifier back out. Now that Kylee is better we have very strict rules about only having the pacifier at nap or nightime. Besides who could deny these important necessaties for sleep: Airplane blanket, Pacifier, Lilly Mae, (the frog/blanky) and Hot Dog (the teddy bear).

Finally, Kylee is feeling better. No more ear infection. She had ear fluid but the doctor gave her decongestant. Now Kylee is having a language explosion. She is saying everything and anything and she smiles all the time. It was so adorable whe she said, "I Love You" to Daddy for the first time!

Paci Fairy

Today was the big day. We had been talking about it all week. Today the Paci Fairy came to visit. The past three weeks Kylee has relied heavily on her pacifier. Her ear infections made her uncomfortable so I was willing to offer her the pacifier to comfort her. It became clear she needed to give it up when she got better but wouldn't give it up.

First we collected all her pacifier's. They are in the baggy. Then Kylee put them in our mail box.

When we headed outside there was a present from the Paci Fairy on our porch. It was a baby with a stroller and extras.

Kylee was very excited to get her baby and brought it with her to the bike store. She ran her doll around in the stroller and she also rocked the baby while singing to it.

It was tough before bed time she asked for her "bapi" as she calls. Kylee cried for a while in her crib. It was hard to hear but I know she is better off. Kylee will be talking even more. She has been trying to put words together since Bennett came to visit. Kylee has been so great at communicating without using a lot of words she hasn't needed to talk to much. We have been practicing the letter sounds at home and working on saying a new word each day. Kylee is blossoming with her language skills. Getting rid of the pacifier was the next step. Our next challenge trying potty training.... again!

Hanging With Cool People

Today Bennett came over for a visit while his mom Paige helped out in her daughter Morgans classroom. We were really looking forward to having him over. The day turned out better then I had imagined. Bennett has incredible manners. He and Kylee get along so well. I first took them into Peet's coffee. They held hands the whole time. Three different people asked me if they were twins and talked about how adorable they are. Everyone they passed by smiled and said hello, those two hammed it up by smiling and giving adorable looks. At home they played. When I started cleaning they had to clean with me. It was fun and funny to see. Of course I took video.

Chenoa had an early day today. When Bennett Kylee and I got in the car they held hands in the car also. I mean really how adorable can you be. Chenoa was so excited to see Bennett and said it was like having a brother. We decided Bennett was so awesome we wanted to adopt. Not that his family would give him up but yeah he is that cool:) Chenoa was also so excited she was able to play with Morgan. The early day really came at the perfect time. I was so happy to end the visit by hanging with Paige as the kids played. Seriously, how lucky am I that I get to spend my Friday hanging with super cool people. One thing I learned. I do enjoy having people over. I really need to make sure our house or town home will allow us extra space for visitors!

Valentines 09

Marc and I have been together for almost 9 years now and we have never celebrated Valentines Day. Before our first Valentines Day I declared how stupid I thought Valentines Day was. Why do we all need to celebrate because someone out there decided we should. Simply because they wanted to make some money. After the years passed by I realized I will take any reason to celebrate. Especially, an excuse for Marc and I to be romantic and enjoy time together. I have been begging Marc to plan a date for us. Every time we plan anything I swoop in and take everything over and plan every little detail. When Marc told me we were going out on Valentines. I told him I didn't want to know anything. He kept it all a secret... Which is a absolute miracle. He did so well planning and everything turned out better than I could have imagined.
We dropped of the girls at Ba Ba Pat's for an evening and morning of Grandma fun. Marc made reservations at the Los Gatos Brewery. Dinner was awesome we started with Crab Cakes, my favorite. I had a cup of Roasted Red Pepper soup Marc had a Cesar salad. My entree was a Roasted Duck Salad and Marc had a Hamburger that looked awesome. Everything was delicious we had said about 8 times throughout the meal how totally good everything was. We were so full we didn't have room for dessert. Although, I did make a little room for espresso. Because we were after all heading out for a late night of dancing in the City.
Marc had us on the guest list at Vessel to see Chuck Love. We headed into the club and it was very clean and decorated well. Everyone looked dressed to impress. Although there was one weird guy walking around in a floor length fur coat. What a nerd. But there is always at least one of those at a club:) After checking out the club I attempted to dance in heels. I realized I had never tried to go out dancing in heels. What was I thinking? Chuck Love started spinning and he started playing a trumpet to his music. Wow that was awesome. That's when I really got down in those heels. The next song comes on and I realize he is doing live vocals to the beat. By the time we had left he had played trumpet, guitar, flute, and sang while spinning his music. I was thoroughly impressed with the music. The only downside to the club was the lack of seating. Most of the seating was V.I.P. This probably wouldn't have normally bothered me. That night I decided I needed to look really awesome so I had to wear heels. It was amazing I was able to dance in those heels but I did okay. Or at least that's what Marc told me. When we got to the car I immediately took them off and put my feet up. They looked pretty beat. All and all we had an absolutely awesome evening. Marc did a great job planning out the evening, something I had always wanted. Thank You Marc!!
