Poor Potted Flowers

<>
It only to a minute or so for me to put my shoes on.  So I was shocked to look out the door and find our newly potted plants on the floor.  Turns out Kylee found a snail and was just trying to find more.  Our poor flowers have not fully recovered!
Needless to say we had to do a time out.  Kylee didn't seem to upset about it.

Kylee is 3!!!

Kylee celebrated her 3rd birthday in style.  She was lucky enough to have 3 birthday party's.  For some reason I only have pictures from two.  It's hard keeping up with busy Miss Kylee!!  Happy Birthday we love you to pieces.
Make a wish and we hope it comes true!
Our little  3 year old princess.
Kylee celebrating with friends and family.  Notice the adorable homemade party hats.
3 candles... the years are going by quickly.
Chenoa made Kylee chocolate sunflower cupcakes for her birthday!

Preschool at Home

Wouldn't preschool at home be pretty cool starting our day with this.  I wonder if making something like this would be cheaper? Or if its reasonable to spend the dough on this.  Guess I'll have to look into that one.

Anniversary Weekend

Marc and I made the wise decision of putting of our anniversary celebration for a couple months so we could enjoy the great local weather.  Marc and I celebrated our 7th year of marriage.  We stayed in Davenport just north of Santa Cruz. The small in is across a busy street from a super quiet beach. Needless to say it is gorgeous. They kept all Bonny Doon Lavender products. I was so obsessed with it I couldn't stop using it. I loved it so much I bought a spray. I just can't get enough of that smell. We enjoyed shopping downtown and relaxing at the beach.

Cull Canyon

Today I brought all of the kiddos to Cull Canyon.  We met up with my friend  and she brought her kiddos.  We had a great time with a bunch of kids and a bunch of sun.  Cull Canyon is pretty neat it's like a beach, lake and pool all in one.  It has a big shallow area which is wonderful for little ones to play at.  Also mom's get to hang out on the beach with feet in the water while the children splash around.  Sometimes getting out helps you get a fresh perspective and recharge to get back to all of that housework you have been meaning to do.
Tomorrow is time to get ready for my birthday.  Clean, clean, clean!

Illuminate

Marc and I found these awesome Lotus Hanging Lamps in Santa Cruz.  I would love to have this in our home.  http://www.omgallery.com/index.php?cPath=232_159

I can't wait to add a small vintage chandelier to our dining room.  I have been on the lookout!  I am sure I will find something by the end of the summer:)

Preschool at Home

It occured to me that someone should be teaching these kiddos there name. I can do that! I looked up different lesson plans online. I found lots and lots of great idea's. I decided to start with a picture project. We started with Bennett. We looked at the letter "B" sounded it out and sounded out the letter "B" with pictures from our newspaper. Then we glued the pictures to our "B" paper. They also tried writing the letter "B". It worked wonderfully. A great way for the lesson to end was to go outside and play with "B"ubbles! :)

The Park

I love having the Hoxie family so close. We love to meet at our local park. It's great to run out to the park for an hour or so and not be distracted by anything from home. It's nothing but friends, children, and being outside. Good memories are being made at this park!

Tea Time

Back when I was sick and losing my voice for about a week straight I made some tea. It became a wonderful event to share with the kiddos. They were so excited to help make the tea. They helped pour the honey, they put the teabags in the teapot. I did not expect them to really drink this herbal tea that I was drinking only for health. We decided to pour some cool water into their teacup with their tea. This way it wouldn't be to hot for them. They drank it all up! I've even had a request for another tea time.

Training

My schedule is changing often. Today we tried going to the gym in the evening. Chenoa is swimming with them at 5. So at 6 I brought Kylee in and dropped off Chenoa to the childcare and fit in a late workout. It seemed to workout well(no pun intended). Chenoa worked out the most today. Today in PE she ran laps, then she swims laps for an hour, when she played at the gym... of course they had her run laps. She will sleep well tonight. I am trying to keep up with my half marathon training. Saturday I run 14 miles. I am feeling guilty for missing workouts while being sick. Now that my voice is coming back there are no excuses. May 15th is the big day and I am hoping to be functioning after.

Wood Floors

It figures.... getting sick and losing my voice is the thing that finally got me to slow down and blog. Marc and I (well I helped a little) recently refinished our wood floors in the living room, hallway, and Chenoa's room. We had new carpets throughout most of the house. But we have dreamed of having hardwood floors for 10 years now. Before we took out the carpet we painted (again). Marc and I chose a light mocha color for the walls. Soon we will be able to add the floor boards and It will look AWESOME!

Chenoa is 8

Chenoa recently turned 8. This birthday was tough for me. Mostly because she is getting so darn big it's hard to think of Chenoa not being my little girl anymore. Chenoa, however, loved her birthday. She had her very own girls party. No sisters, no dads only one mom orchestrating the party. Her theme was puppy and they seemed to have lots of fun:)
On her actual birthday she had a family party. Which she had fun at also. She also got a lot of presents.
I don't have pictures to post since all the other girls are in the pictures. I do have pictures of Chenoa opening her presents!

Kylee's Favorite

Almost everyday Kylee wants to dress up. I let her whear it everywhere we go. People love to see her all dressed up and so does she!!

Blog, Camera, Action

Ever since my camera stopped working. I stopped bloging. I haven't forgot about it I just keep putting bloging off so I can blogg what I want. Of course that included lot's and lot's of pictures. I didn't realize how much I relied on my camera for. It's quite disappointing not having my camera ready and available at a moments notice. I only had it for a year or so but I am sure I got a lot of use from it. Guess it's time to start hunting for a new one. Except this time I think I will move a step up in the camera department. Nothing to fancy or bulky. But I do love to take pictures. It will be fun to experiment! In the meantime I don't want to stop bloging because I enjoy that also. I am going to have to try to blog the old fashioned way.. you now.. just words!
