One of our favorite things about Livermore is the little airport we get to drive by all the time. We often stop to see a new plane that is out. Driving by the airport can cheer up our cranky toddler or any one else in the family. We love it!! Luckily, they had an open house we got to look at all the cool planes. Our dream is to one day have our own plane. Marc will fly... I don't think I could handle that resposibility.

Home
Well geez life has been so busy. I have had little down time for blogging. It took a weekend of relaxing at home for me to remember all of the things I have been wanting to do. I have to say I am looking forward to winter and the holidays. I have grand plans of crafting, sewing and making my home adorable. I found a desk on freecycle. In the email she was sure to tellme it was nothing special. That's okay because we are making it something special. Well, Marc is anyways. He has already painted it black. It looks fabulous. It matches our black mantel, and dining table we have painted. My desk is not done yet. Soon Marc will paint a pattern (or something) on top. I will post a picture when he is done. I am just so looking forward to having my own space.
Here is a picture of Marc painting our dining table. It's amazing how some old furniture that I grew up with can look entirely new with a coat of paint. I love it! I will post the final picture in a week... stay tuned!

My Bro Got Hitched!
My brother is so lucky to have such a dedicated woman by his side. I am so thankful he has privileged me by making her my sister. The two of them committing to each other is so wonderful to see. I am so happy I was able to be involved. The girls felts so special being in the wedding also. The wedding was beautiful. I know it is a lot of work to plan. I will remember it with fond memories and smiles! My camera was on the Fritz or I would have better pictures. Luckily there was a photographer:)

Camping
After reducing the luggage for only one night. We ended up with a trunk full. The girls were ready to go. Mango freshly trimmed. We were packed and ready for smores, camp fires, and sleeping in a tent:) The smores were the best we ever had. I am thinking it is the really great chocolate.. white and milk. The general store lady recomended a ranbow flame packet. Great idea:) We went to sleep directly in the rocky hard ground... ouch. Mango woke Marc and I up for the deer eating our food. Marc convinced me everything would be okay on the picknic table. Whatever the deer put on a good show and ate every bit of our marshmallow.. they licked the bag clean! Marc got out and put the rest of the food in the car. Luckily it was only for one night and next time I plan to have a pillow and some padding under me. All in all these were good memories... espescially for the kiddos. They seemed so happy and they were humming and smiling most of the time!

Marc and Lara's Weekend
It was a lot of fun!!
We started with our bike ride to Concannon Vineyard. The winery was gorgeous and was completely remodeled. We tried to find what we could taste and smell in the wines. It was an interesting experience. There was so much wine to taste there we did not drink it all. But we tasted every one. When we walked out to the veranda the grapes growing up them were so yummy. We wanted to eat more then just one. They were green yet super sweet. We rode downtown to the Ale House and met my parents for lunch. Yum.. I had the Jalapeno Cilantro Burger.. Definitely getting it again! Then we rode in there truck to La Rochelle. We enjoyed the Pinot Flight along with La Rochelle's pairing platter which included hard bread, cheeses, quince paste and pate. Our favorite was 2006 Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir. My mother and I walked to the winery next door called Steven Kent and tasted there. While our wonderful hubby's hung outside with my parents loyal dog Keiko. We enjoyed the barrel tasting style. However, although they were closing they became incredibly busy. Even though we wanted to purchase our favorite the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon we had to give up and head home. We couldn't leave our awesome hubby's out there that long. That evening we took Marc's Camaro to the Livermore club car show. It was a small and quaint car show. I enjoyed seeing the local car's. We decided to go to On The Border and the movie "Unfortunate Bastards" The movie was horrible we had to walk out. So gross they scalped people and clubbed them to death!! Luckily we headed straight home because I was really tired. I went to sleep at 11 and woke up at 11am. That's a lot of sleep! We decided to try another movie and went to "District 9" This was a way better movie & well done. Then we picked up the girls. Chenoa didn't want to leave. Kylee was super happy also. I guess I missed them a bit more then they missed us. Pat kept the girls busy with a new sprinkler, art projects, and a slumber party with a late night movie. We took the girls and Marc's mom to the Olive Garden. We had a smorgasbord of food and spent our entire $100 gift card. What a fun filled weekend. I only wished I had taken a few pictures. I was so busy enjoying the weekend I didn't take any.

Kylee's Birthday Party
June was so overwhelming with the move and the start of summer. Kylee's playgroup was kind enough to allow us to turn a playgroup day into a birthday party. It was so last minute it was nice to have everyone be up for it. Kylee was so excited to have her party. We chose a water park with a playground for maximum fun!
